The Mill is now closed to incoming fleece until at least 1st June 2015
In the meantime, you may still email me for advice, price lists & preparation sheets but if you could hold off sending any more fleece for a while, that would be greatly appreciated. The mill has reached capacity & its time to clear the back log of jobs. This happens every year around this time, as lots of fleece arrives all at once. A word of advice here is to plan well in advance with your yarn, roving & felt requirements.
The rug won a first prize in the Weaving Section of the 2014 Show
Also, a felt handbag received a first in the Felting Section.
August 28th 2014
The rug being featured on my "Journey of a Rug" page
has now been completed and the final touches made in readiness
for entry into the AAA 2014 National Show & Sale Craft Section
Take a look.....
June 6th 2014
The mill has now re-opened for incoming fleeces.
I have made a fair dent in the backlog & hopefully have reduced the waiting time
to a more acceptable timeframe.
Please contact me about sending your fleeces in if you have been asked to wait.
Price list remains the same for July to Dec 2014.
AAA Conference - Adelaide 9-11 May 2014
March 25th 2014
The Gumeracha Spinners Group visit the mill.
The Gumeracha Spinners & Weavers visited the mill today & had a tour of the mill & had the process explained.
Also we had a "Fleece Preparation" demonstration. As some weren't "alpaca" people, it might have been the first time that they had seen this & it hopefully was beneficial for when they are sourcing fleeces for hand spinning.
Some went away with bags of rovings, multi coloured bumps and yarn. Have fun!!!!!
As a few were also weavers, we had a visit to my weaving studio & had a navajo plying demonstration.
Thank you for your visit - I hope to see you again.

Go & see the new page - Journey of a Rug. This work-in-progress shows rug weaving start to finish.
All aspects from initial fleece selection, preparation of the fleece into rovings, hand spinning, navajo plying
